He Answers

Who is loving this snow, me me me!!! I am so excited about this snow fall, I feel like Christmas can actually happen. I am from Ontario so I am use to a snowy Christmas!!!

I have been thinking about God's amazing grace lately and how much he cares for me and I thought I would blog about it. So often I go unaware of the many things he is doing in and around me. In October I went on a retreat with the College I attend, and we had an Alumni speaking, who is actually my cousin MB. He spoke about God's grace. He asked the students how often we go without depending on God in our day. This really hit me, because so often I go through my day with out acknowledging God is even there, or saying a friendly hello.

So lately I thought, OK God I will no longer go through my day without hello's and thank yous and please be with me in this situation. Sounds sad I know, but I am sure I'm not in this alone. I hope!!!! For the last couple weeks I have had these little prayer request of mine being answered. I am not alone in this, He is there and he does answer. Some of the prayer request have been random and silly, but still valuable by my heavenly father.
I will give you a few examples of some of these little miracles:

Rich and I really needed a Christmas tree, lights and a stand and were really tight from the Christmas Season. So I asked the Lord to help me find a good deal. To be completely honest we had a $20 dollar budget for tree things, crazy I know, because trees are always over 20 dollars. Well God answered that prayer, for some odd reason Superstore gave us a tree for 9.94 (And its beautiful). So for $20 we got a tree, a stand, and lights!!! He Answers.

Once again in this tight money season of our life, I asked the Lord to help us get through the next week with what we had in our account, which wasn't a whole lot. I was kind of stressing out over this, and just asked the Lord to be with Rich and I in this season. I got home from school one day and opened a Christmas Card from a very special friend and there was just enough money to get us through the week. He answers.

Thirdly and maybe this is silly but meaningful to the sleep of my husband and I. Annika hasn't been sleeping very well at all, I am not sure if its her teeth or her cold, but it has been awful. She wakes up every hour crying and then usually is awake for a while. This is really hard on Rich and I since he works hard all day and needs his sleep, and I need my sleep to be a good mom. Sooo Rich and I prayed over Annika, that she would sleep well. Since that night my sweet little girl has slept through the night, and not woken up till 8:00. He answers.

This might all seem silly to some, but for me its a big deal, I am not a person who has faith easily and alot of times I try to do it on my own, but I am learning to relay on my God. As little as these miracles are He cares and He answers!!!!!
Try it!!

Cheers
Lindz

  1. Lindsay! Great post! God cares about EVERYTHING, big or little we walk through and askes us to come to Him like a child. It is through simple faith that God loves to reveal more of Himself. Beautiful words of how He truly takes care of all our needs and wants. :)
